Thinking About Transitions....

So it's June, boy has this year flown by! As usual, I always think about how the year went, what still needs to be done, how to end the year with students and some planning for the next school year. Half of our students will be moving on to the next level school (in my district the three elementary schools are broken into these levels: PreK-1, 2-3, 4-5). This means there's a lot of transitioning for students as well as staff.

There are also some transitions going on in my family.  My son graduated from Law School last week. We've been so lucky to have him nearby these past few years, and now he's transitioning from being a student, to moving to Washington, D.C. and starting a job.

My children, Jessi and Alex

I'll be savoring these last few weeks with our first graders and with my son before they all move on and transition into the next exciting phase of their lives.
